Alpharetta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Alpharetta follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We visited on a Saturday morning around 9:30 a.m. We all agreed the doughnuts were the most dense we had tasted. Maybe I just prefer fluffier donuts, so Iβm not a good judge of this type of baking, but we werenβt impressed. The donuts were just okay. The βpuristβ was the best of the few we tried. The lemon-raspberry roll had tasty icing that seemed to truly include real raspberries. I donβt think we would return, but if you like heavy, compact dough, this is your place.

The donuts at 5 Daughters Bakery should come with a warning labelβ¦ Highly addictive. Proceed at your own risk. Itβs located in Avalon! Walkability with lots of great shop, restaurants and a movie theater. Bonus* bonus* Avalon is dog friendly! Iβm not even a dessert person, but these donuts had me questioning everything I thought I knew about myself. Theyβre impossibly light, airy, buttery, and bursting with flavor. Somehow theyβre rich without being heavy, and every bite just keeps getting better. I came for one donut. My self-control quietly left through the back door. If loving these donuts is wrong, I donβt want to be right.

We first visited their location in Nashville years ago and loved their donuts. Unfortunately not the same experience in the Avalon location. I ordered the Vanilla Cream and was very disappointed in the flavor. The icing had little to no vanilla flavor and the texture was heavy, a lot more whipping and vanilla was needed. The donut itself was fine texture wise but again lacked flavor. My husband had the maple bacon which he enjoyed. There is a nice patio seating area in the shade which we enjoyed.
